Edward proudly served his country as a member of the US NAVY, rising to the rank of Senior Chief before his retirement.
He joins his wife, Elizabeth Jane Garner; parents, William Henry and Edna Estelle Garner; along with his sisters: Betty Ann Cornett and Bonnie Sue McKinney and his brother William Henry Garner, Jr.
He leaves behind his daughter, Angela Marie Garner and son, Edward I. (Virginia) Garner, Jr Grandchildren: Mary, Ivan, Atticus and Thomas. A sister, Patricia Garner Armistead.
A Memorial Mass will be held in Edward's honor at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church,1649 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073 on Monday February 5, 2024 at 11:00AM.
Committal services with Full Navy Honors will begin promptly at 1:30PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, Fl 32218 LANE 3
