He is survived by Judith, his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, daughter, Sandra (Steve), grandchildren, Brayndon, Caneon (Kanjana), Meghan (Michael), sisters Vera and Cleda (William).
He was employed by Barnett Bank (Bank of America) in 1954, leaving in1955 to serve two years active duty in the US Naval Reserve. He resumed his career with Barnett in 1957, and was a retired Vice President.
He was a Mason and a member of Oceanway Lodge No. 279, F. and A.M., Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and an Ambassador of Morroco Temple, A.A.O.N.M.S.
He enjoyed hunting and was an accomplished woodworker, spent many happy hours creating beautiful furniture and crafts. The sounds of hammers pounding and saws buzzing was music to our ears.
He was a loving, generous, highly respected, and wonderful man. God bestowed on him many talents, the outstanding one being his gift of humor. He loved making people laugh. You often heard him say, “I enjoy living!” And he did. He will be remembered as a man who truly lived, loved, and laughed. We will miss our beloved Buddy.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be 11 AM, Saturday, February 19, 2011 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL. Please post tributes to Buddy at www.hardage-giddensrivermead.com.
