

Hugh A. Duncan was born in Wray, GA on May 27, 1937, the only son of Anthony and Oda Harper Duncan. He died on February 18, 2016. Duncan graduated from Coolidge High School, GA in 1955 and went on to serve in the US Coast Guard for four years. He then started a successful career with Sanders Co. where his innovative techniques are sales standards today. Duncan was passionate about his life’s work and his sales legacy lasted beyond his retirement in 2015.
Duncan was an avid FSU supporter! He was one of the co-founders of the Seminole Club of Clay County- one of the most successful booster club in the United States. Duncan had many loves including: gospel music, golf and organizing golf fundraisers which put the Seminole Club on the Bobby Bowden Golf Tour.
He is survived by fiancée, Jane Fuller of Orange Park; daughter Sherri Ely of New York; Tony Duncan of Jacksonville; his beloved dog Possum and many lifelong friends. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 pm, Saturday, February 20, 2016 with reception to follow at the Hilltop Club 2030 Wells Rd. Orange Park. Duncan spent many years there socializing with family, friends and the Hilltop Staff. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Haven Hospice 745 Blanding Blvd. Orange Park FL 32065.
