James Marvin “Poppy” Caldwell, 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a 12 year battle with cancer. He was born in Clay County, Alabama, but lived most of his life in Jacksonville, FL. He served as a US Marine in the Vietnam War and went on to work at NAS Jax where he retired as an aircraft electrician. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Aleta; four daughters: Pam (Jody), Kelly (Mick), Alecia (Erik) and Jamie (Jamie) and his son, Darrell. His beautiful grandchildren: Christopher, Melissa, Courtney, Tristan, Tristan, Victoria, Zachary, Sydney, Lilli, Sadie, Marvin and Jameson; along with many other loving family and friends. Preceded in death by his father, mother, brother, Bobby and grandson, Joey. Memorial services will be held 11 AM Saturday, July 2, 2016 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd Orange Park, Florida 32073.
