James Samuel Harrison

James Samuel Harrison (Jim), 74 of Jacksonville, Florida passed away Tuesday March 25, 2014. Jim was born in Greenville, South Carolina on July 11, 1939. Over the years he had been a member of Richardson Heights Baptist Church and Prestonwood Baptist Church before making First Baptist Church Jacksonville his final spiritual home when he moved here from Dallas, Texas in October 2004. After 40 years in the Point Of Sales Industry he retired from Sharp Electronics as Regional Sales Manager.

He is survived by his devoted wife Wanda Harrison of 48 plus years. He is also survived by his loving children Robin Meisen (Ron), Jimmy Harrison (Brenda), Robby Harrison (Jennifer) and Misty Brown (Mike) as well as his grandchildren Jeremy Meisen, Chase Connelly, Justin Harrison, Michael Brown, Megan Brown, Madeleine Brown, Bruce Thurman, Robby Jones and Leeanne Jones. Also, He is survived by his Sister Faye Mahon, brothers Bob (Jeanne) and Randy (Mickey) Harrison and sister-in-law Wilma Morgan. He is further survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and very dear friends.

He proudly served his country as an Airman 2nd Class for the United States Air Force.

Funeral service will be held Friday, April 4, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of HARDAGE GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd. Orange Park, Fl 32073. (904) 264-2481 with Mr. Terry Davidson officiating.
