Jauneta Tarrh Frakes Bough was born on March 7, 1922 to Charles and Julia Tarrh in Sullivan, Indiana. The last of her siblings, Jauneta had fond memories of the time spent on their family farm. She loved to brag that her Dad bought the first automobile in Sullivan county.
On May 2, 1942, Jauneta married Harold Frakes and their daughter, Sharon R. Frakes Perkins, PhD, was born several years later. Sharon and her husband, Dr. Marvin R. Perkins married in 1964 and settled in Florida.
After retirement, Harold and Jauneta were snowbirds, spending half of the year in Florida and half in Indiana until Harold’s death in 1992. Jauneta met widower Ernest Bough in 1995, and they married in May of 1996. She and Ernest, a proud Pearl Harbor survivor, were quite active in their church and several charitable organizations.
Jauneta is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Marvin) Perkins, her grand-children Shanda and Brennan, and great-grandchildren Kyle and Tristan, as well as her many dear friends at Horizon Church who helped fill her latter years with so much joy and purpose.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, December 5, 2020 at Horizon Church 700 Reed Canal Rd, S. Daytona, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church she loved.
