

Joy Ann Marino, 78, passed away September 18, 2016. She was born May 4, 1938 in Newark, New Jersey to James and Susan Marino. She grew up and attended school in Nutley, New Jersey, later relocating to Orange Park, Florida. She worked as a manager for Orange Park Mobile Home Park for almost 20 years and then as a bookkeeper for Atkinson’s Pharmacy until she retired. She was a strong willed and hard-working individual but always found a way to balance her work and family life. Ms. Marino loved her family more than anything, always putting their needs in front of hers. She was a loving and devoted daughter to her parents, looking after them until they passed away. She was a caring sister and aunt, often arranging family functions and staying in touch with family all over the country. Her house was always filled with friends and family and she often went out of her way to make everyone feel loved and welcome. Ms. Marino was a dedicated and caring mother and grandmother. Her world revolved around her daughter and 2 grand-daughters. She adored her grand-daughters and stayed actively involved in their lives. She loved to tell you how proud she was of them. Ms. Marino was a creative person and loved to express her artistic side. She enjoyed drawing, painting and many types of crafts. Ms. Marino is survived by her daughter; Carrie Ann, brother; Andrew Marino, sister; Theresa Van Mater, 2 grandchildren; Coral Ann Marino and Chyann Marino, many nieces, nephews and cherished friends. She is preceded in death by her father; James Marino, mother; Susan Marino, companion; Walter Straub, brothers; Albert Egidio Jr., James Robert Jr. and Richard Marino. A memorial service will be held 11 AM Thursday September 29, 2016 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd Orange Park, FL 32073.
