Karon Diane Holmes

2024. She was born in Blackshear, GA to the late, Crawley Smith and Mamie Taylor.

Diane was an incredibly strong woman, full of love and joy. As a devoted mother and grandmother, her love for her family was evident in everything she did. She had a special passion for watching football, especially cheering on her Georgia Bulldogs. Time spent with family was precious to her, as she cherished laughing and reminiscing over shared memories. Her zest for life, whether driving down the road or singing along to her favorite tunes, brought happiness to everyone around her. Diane's vibrant spirit and the simple pleasures she embraced will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

Diane was preceded in death by: Leona Spivey, Carolyn Joseph, Richard Smith and Marilyn Smith. She is

survived by her children: Elizabeth (Doug) Howell and Justin Holmes; husband, Billy Holmes; brother, Allen (Phillis) Smith; sisters: Inez Bruckner, Wanell Crawford, Joyce Smith, Sue (Tolly) Strickland and Paula (Wayne) Foskey; grandchildren: Chandler (Stephenie Schweighardt) Cole, Morgan (Kevin) Assaf, Braden Cole, Deziray Holmes and Seren Howell; and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Friday, January 3, 2025 at Oakleaf Baptist Church, 800 Oakleaf Plantation Parkway, Orange Park, FL with visitation held 1 hour prior to service at the church.
