Born on August 2, 1945, in Springfield, Missouri, Linda was the daughter of the late Margaret Murray Bradley ("Peggy") and Warren Linden Loveridge. She was the beloved wife of Dr. Michael David Green, with whom she shared 36 devoted years of marriage.
Linda had a passion for words and a gift for storytelling. She was a journalist for The St. Louis Globe-Democrat, The Palm Beach Post, The Bristol Press, and Bankrate Monitor/Bankrate.com. She also worked with the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), where she combined her professional talents with her deep faith. She then moved on to website content and design before her retirement. Linda held a Master’s degree in Media Communication and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education., and her love of reading was a lifelong joy.
Her love of Jesus Christ is at the center of her life, and it is of great comfort to her family that she is now with Him—her body and mind fully restored.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, Michael David Green; her sister, Joy L. Coughlin (the late Reverend Clark Coughlin); daughters Janet Leslie Spofford (Phillip) and Debra Lynn Driskell (Gregory); and stepdaughters Melike Lauri Smeenge (Dan), Michelle Sevim Williamson-Green (the late Jamie Williamson-Green), Cécile Meral Green, and Aimée Sibel Green.
She is a proud grandmother to Gregory Driskell (Jessie), A.J. Caico, Nicole Leone (Jeffrey), Austin Caico, Taylor Driskell, Alexander Caico, Andersen Caico, and Annalise Caico; and step-grandmother to Sevgi Mutuku, Sumithra Seagroves (Garrett), Russell M. (“Mo”) Smeenge, (Foster) Posey Smeenge, Khalila Green, Jessica Simmons (Tyler), Julianna Taylor (Kyle), Emily Williamson-Green, Tobias Dodge, Evan Dodge, Rowan Dodge, Ashley Spofford, and Ian Spofford.
Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Isaiah Driskell, Lila Leone, and Aiden Leone; and step-great-grandchildren: Joshua Mutuku and Neşe (“Nesha”) Mutuku.
A Celebration of Life service for Linda will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Church of Our Savior, 2092 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.
