Venita Kay Harmon, 64, passed away on June 2, 2017. She was born in Oakland, CA but grew up in Key West, FL. She was a Florida girl through and through, with the sand, sun, and ocean bringing her comfort and joy. She dedicated her life to her family, friends, and civil service; providing 38 years of service to the United States government. Venita had an infectious laugh that could brighten the darkest room. She was loved by everyone who met her.
Venita is predeceased by her parents: Bill and Ruth Drake and her brother, Steven Drake. Mrs. Harmon is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Ronald S. Harmon; son, Chris (Heather) Harmon; 2 daughters: Cynthia (Derek) Watson and Carrie Harmon; and 3 grandchildren: Caitlyn Harmon, Chris Harmon and Steven Harmon. Celebration of Nita’s life will be held at Courtyard by Marriott Orange Park, 610 Wells Rd, Orange Park, FL, on June 19, 2017 at 5:30pm.
