She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Lawrence Gregory Raker, and survived by her six children: Kitty (Jeffrey), Sherrill (Frank), Robbie, Larry (Betsy), Ray (Johanna), and Edd (Debbie), along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even a great-great granddaughter. Wyvette held many roles in her lifetime, from secretary, bookkeeper, Tupperware sales associate, assisted group home manager, to PRP wine consultant, but there was no role she cherished more in life than that of being the family matriarch. She was never happier than when her house was full of family and friends, who knew that a comfortable rocking chair and a fresh pot of coffee were always ready for them to stop by and “sit a spell.” In addition to caring for her family, Wyvette loved garage sales, Charles Martin books, Christmas decorations, a great party, and all things Southern. Her warm hospitality and generosity of heart will be missed and remembered by all who had the gift of knowing and loving her.
