Dolores Ann Hill

Dolores A. Hill, nee Merriman, passed away on June 24, 2023, three weeks shy of her 95th birthday. Beloved wife of 46 years to the late Lawrence and thereafter married to the late George Millette. Dolores was the loving mother to Beverly Mikell (the late Ed), Lawrence (Teena) Hill, and Ronald (Linda) Hill. Loving grandmother to 10 and adoring great grandmother to 21.

Dolores was born, raised, and married in Bridgeport. Being an only child, she loved nothing more than being surrounded by her growing family, especially for the holidays, when she would cook for all even as the family continued to grow. Dolores had a passion for reading, and loved nothing more than to read Dr. Goat or some other story to all the kids that visited. She enjoyed bowling, playing card games and later in life, cheering the Cubs on to victory. Mom, Grandma, Gigi will be missed by all.

Visitation for Dolores will be held Friday, June 30, from 9:30-10:30 AM at Orland Funeral Home, 9900 W 143rd St, Orland Park, where a Prayer Service will begin at 10:30 AM, proceeding to St. Michael Church, 14327 Highland Ave, Orland Park, for an 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment St. Mary Cemetery to follow.
