Laura M Davidson

Laura M. Davidson (née Kaemerer), age 71, of Alsip, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 6, 2025. Born on March 25, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois, Laura was the beloved daughter of the late Robert and the late Laura Kaemerer.

Laura is survived by her devoted husband, Gary Davidson, and her cherished daughters, Sara Davidson and Lauren Grikmanis. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Cole, Chase, Liam, and Savannah, who were the absolute joy of her life. Laura was a dear sister to Jim Kaemerer, the late Robert Kaemerer, and the late Jeannie Lyle, and a fond aunt to many nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.

Laura enjoyed a fulfilling career and retired as an Executive Assistant at the Willis Tower, where she was known for her dedication, professionalism, and kindness. Above all else, Laura was a deeply kind and caring person who put family first. She especially treasured time spent with her grandchildren, creating memories filled with laughter, warmth, and love.

A devout Catholic, Laura faithfully attended church until her illness made it no longer possible. Her faith remained a source of strength throughout her life. She loved traditions, with Christmas holding a special place in her heart, and she delighted family and friends with her famous homemade chocolate chip cookies, a true labor of love.

Laura will be remembered for her gentle spirit, generous heart, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.

A visitation and memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2025 at Orland Funeral Home, located at 9900 W 143rd St, Orland Park, IL, 60462, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with the memorial service to being at 3:00 p.m. Interment private.
