I Know this pain, Paloma, so know that my heart is with you.  Time will lessen the sting, but when we have had a wondrous woman for our mother while we are here on this planet, we continue to miss her in large and small ways that present themselves ALL along the way.  You, indeed, have a most beautiful angel watching over you.  I know that every one of us who cares about you would like to be able to do something to ease the deep and sometimes overpowering ache you feel, but it's your unique process with your Mom.  May all the good memories bring you peace.  Know how much Love is flowing your way.

Mi Tia Cuca.  I know you're in a better place.  Such a strong example of a Woman, creative, an eye for beauty, as you displayed beauty yourself.  You saw and experienced the world. My Grandma and I were very close my whole life.Starting  At the age of 5 I would fly by myself to Mexico to spend the summers with her. I remember being so excited the night before that I wouldn't sleep a wink! She took me to see the pyramids, she took me with her to look for artifacts, she took me to Acapulco , we spent summers in Mazatlan with Tia Yoali and Tia Argelia. We spent many of our summers in Saltillo , Mexico which was one of my favorite places where Grandma sent me to Hawian hula  dance lessons, I played with many friends, I bought candy from Grandmas friend Lolita's candy store, I bought tortillas from a lady who lived a couple of blocks from us,.
Grandma would always boil the water for me before I drank it so that I wouldn't get sick. I loved riding the green combi bus to the market with her and going to ranch only an hour away. I will miss going to her birthday parties at Tia Yoali's house, I will miss playing cards with her and talking about old times! Most of all I will miss her! I thank her for everything she taught me and for all the love she has given me over the years! 
I love you Grandma!

Tia, te extraño mucho, te quiero mucho! Nuestras oraciones està¡n con usted y mis primos Rogi y Yoali. I miss you so much. I shall be praying for you and my cousins Rogi and Yoali. My Aunt shall always have a very special place in my heart!

Tia Cuca was a fearless, independent woman who held her own. I will always remember her stories about adventure and travel. Tia Cuca found her self expression through her art-beautiful drawings and flores de migajon. She loved her children and grandchildren very much. She was a wonderful example of what a beautiful, intelligent, talented self determined woman is. We will follow in her footsteps the best we can.

Although we were usually separated by many miles I always felt mi tia Cuca was close to my heart and conscious mind I will always remember her genuine soul and beautiful smile.  Until we meet again tia fly free and high.

Mi Tia Cuca was a beatiful woman, very artistic. As a young woman she studied modern dance in Mexico City. And when we had a family party we would ask her to dance with us chachacha but she would say that was not dancing. Instead she would do a few modern dance moves. I will always remember that about her.

Yoli, I can see where you get your classic beauty from. My thoughts are with you and you family.

Tia was a strong, independent, and wonderful woman. Her friendship, advise, and presence enriched our lives. She will continue to live in our hearts and through her beautiful drawings.

Maria was a great mother, wife and friend. I have vivid and great memories of times spent together with Salvador,Roggi, Yoali and April in New Orleans, Chicago and Mazatlan. Our deepest condolences to the entire family.
