Stanley A. Janik

Stanley was the beloved husband of Patricia (née Holly) Janik; loving and proud father to Charles (Angela) Janik and to his late son, Andrew Janik; cherished grandfather to Evie and Jason.

He was a dear brother to Ed (Maria) Janik, Ted (Diane) Janik, Mary (Joseph) Szczap, Angela (the late John) Medlik, Sophie (the late Jim) Kolzow, and Helen (Ralph) Hlavin. He was preceded in death by his brothers Mack (the late Mary) Janik and John Janik. Stanley was also a loving godfather to Adela and Jessica and a fond uncle and loyal friend to many. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

In keeping with Stanley’s final wishes, there will be no funeral services. He will be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois, with a committal service and full military honors.

Family and friends are welcome to attend the brief committal service at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, IL on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.

A memorial Mass at Cyril & Methodius in Lemont will be celebrated at a later date.

Though he may be gone from our sight, he will never be gone from our hearts. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
