

Born on July 23, 1939, in Orange City, FL, Agnes was a proud graduate of Euclid High School in DeLand, FL. She attended Florida A&M University and the University of Central Florida.
On September 15, 1959, she married the love of her life, Gordon Phillipe Jr. The two shared many wonderful years together, traveling the world during his service in the U.S. Air Force, until his passing in 2022.
Agnes held many jobs throughout her life but was most passionate about her career in nursing, where she found purpose in caring for others. A woman of deep faith, she was a devoted member of Mt. Barrien Primitive Baptist Church and also attended St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church. She joyfully sang in the Adult Choir, served as Youth Choir Director, and faithfully led the Food Bank Ministry. Agnes was also an active member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Heroines of Jericho (Prince Hall Affiliated).
She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and service. Agnes is survived by her children: Michael Phillipe, Gordon (Debora) Phillipe III, Von Tonya Phillipe, and Christopher Phillipe; her grandchildren: Krystal, Charlene, LaNovia, Mellennee, Jena, and Jesiah; and her great-grandchildren: Marchele, Michael Jr., Jaci, and Kali. She also cherished her godchildren: Anthony Tillman, Dr. Cappilia Gaines, Tolica Williams, JoAnna Jones, Mahogany, and Rahjan Epting; her brothers: Sherman and Wallace Tillman; and her devoted nieces, Delphenia Bartee, Emma Williams, and Gracie Jones. She will also be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Agnes will be remembered for her kind heart, her unwavering faith, and her dedication to her family and community. Her warmth, wisdom, and gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A visitation for Agnes will be held Thursday, August 14, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Conway Funeral Home, 1413 S SEMORAN BLVD, ORLANDO, FL 32807.
