

Jack was a member of the American Legion Post 286 where he was a member of the Honor Guard. He was a member of the Orlando Elks Lodge 1079 and the V.F.W. Post 2093. Jack was also a veteran of the United States Navy having served during WW II. He participated in the Battle of the Bulge, the Normandy Invasion and the Rhine River Crossing.
Jack was a retired car salesman and served as a volunteer Patrol Sheriff with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department for 11 years. He was also the Vice President of the Peppermill Homeowners Association. Jack will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his loving wife, Shirley; and his daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Brent. Andrew is also survived by Betty McDonnell and Joan Butterfield, his sisters, and Bill Butterfield, his brother-in-law, of the Villages, FL; Shiela Ryan, his niece, Greg Butterfield, his nephew, and Billy Butterfield, his nephew; as well as 2 great nephews and 2 great nieces.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 from 6 – 9 p.m. at Family Funeral Care.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Family Funeral Care with Father Garcia officiating. Burial will follow in Florida National Cemetery.
