

Anita M Syring, 87, passed away peacefully at home on August 28th surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with Parkinson's. She was born in Jamestown, NY and moved to Orlando as a military wife when her husband, Cy, previously deceased, was stationed at McCoy Air Force Base. She was a Cosmetician for Estee' Lauder for several years at Burdines/Macy's before retiring. Prior to her illness she was in the Italian American War Vets Auxiliary, a member of the Parents and Friends of the mentally challenged, and she was active in her church. Anita Syring is survived by eight children, Sandra (Mike) Luker, Mike (Linda) Matarazzo, Jim McManus, Zita Daggett, Donna Schaffer, Marvin Syring, Hal (Shelly) Hatmaker, and Laurie Perez. She is survived by 13 grandchildren: Rick (Maxine) Menard, Renee Bishop, Nick (Michelle) Matarazzo, Stephanie (Matt) Brown, Ryan (Kristen) Bishop, Sarah (Jarrod) Rutledge, Rebekah Hatmaker, Jeff Schaffer, Royce Hatmaker, Alex (Laci) Matarazzo, Tim Matarazzo, Amanda Luker and Shannon Perez. and 16 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Lambert (Marilyn) Anderson, John (Margo) Anderson, a brother-in-law, Wayne (Carol) Syring, and a sister-in-law, Shirley Woolison, as well as numerous nephews and nieces. During her long battle with Parkinson's she had a wonderful caregiver, companion and dear friend, Andrea Ewart, who is very much a part of the family, along with her daughter, Kaley, who she considered another grandchild. The Celebration of her life will be on Friday, August 30th with visitation at 10:00 and service at 11:00. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial.
