Betty Elaine Luteran, 88, of Orlando, FL, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus Christ on March 18, 2024. Betty was born in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Edwin and Emma Teal and a beloved sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Betty was a Christian who valued her faith and family above all else. Her greatest life’s work was raising her four cherished sons with her late husband of 52 years, Donald Luteran.
Following her many dedicated years of homemaking, Betty went on to work for The Mark Travel Corporation and Southeast Academy to help provide for her family. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, driving her homebound friends to the grocery store, and most importantly, spending time with her four sons, nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She was a strong, passionate, and caring woman who loved animals and could never turn down a good piece of chocolate, glass of white zinfandel, or a long conversation with one of her adoring sons!
Besides her husband, Donald Luteran, she was predeceased by her siblings, Dorothy, Gladys, and Clyde.
Betty is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Steve and Karen Luteran, Dan and Laurie Luteran, Larry and Caroline Luteran, and Don and Maribel Luteran; grandchildren Stephen, Mark (Sarah), Samantha (Matt), Mallory (Aaron), Maddy (Jeff), Laura (Colin), Tyler, Andrew, and Lauren; and great-grandchildren Marcie, Noelle, Luke, Drew, Charlie, Ezra, Cecilia, and Aaron.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
There will be a visitation on Sunday, March 24th from 12:00-1:00pm, followed by a Celebration of Life from 1:00-2:00pm, at Family Funeral Care, 13001 S. John Young Parkway Orlando, FL, 32837.
