Blanca Iris de Jesus

Blanca Iris earned a Master's degree in Education and taught in both the New York City Public School system, and Orange County, Florida, for a span of over 30 years. She was an active lay person at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Kissimmee, Florida and St. Mary of the Angels Episcopal Church in Orlando, Florida.

Blanca Iris was a woman whose kindness was known to all. Deeply generous, a great listener who offered hope to others, a positive word, a prayer, a woman whose faith ordered her steps. She also had a great sense of humor, loved to dance and had an "open door policy" to whomever wished to enjoy her cooking. It earned her high praises as an "exquisite cook."

Most of all, she enjoyed seeing her family relish her cooking. But she also liked Baseball, volleyball, swimming, and hosting those she loved. She was an outstanding story teller, and a great conversationalist. She always made time to chat with a "cafesito con galletitas y quesito."

Blanca Iris was a devoted wife to Frank de Jesus, a marriage of over 60 years, and the mother of Frank Jr., Edgar, and Gerardo. She has 12 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren, Godmother to numerous individuals, including 2 living sisters, Carmen Delia Calderon, Yolanda Picart, Lucy Ramos (deceased), and "Cookie" Lopez (deceased), daughter-in-law's, Yolanda, Lourdes, and Joy, plenty of cousins, nieces and nephews, both in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

In truth, her life is a testimony of the kind of love that is simply too beautiful to simply die. She remains alive in our hearts, and in the presence of the God who chose to allow it all to be so. She will forever be a gift to those who knew her, a reflection of the heart of a loving God.

A visitation for Blanca will be held at Family Funeral Care, 13001 S. John Young Parkway, Orlando, Florida, 32837 on Monday, March 9, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Blanca's committal service will be held at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave., Bushnell, Florida33513 on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 11:30 am.
