Bruce Warner Johnson

Following graduation from Grove City College in Grove City, PA with a degree in mechanical engineering, Bruce was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the USAF. Thus began his thirty-year career where he rose to the rank of Colonel. He served in multiple locations both in the US and abroad and was a decorated veteran of the War in Vietnam where he was awarded the Bronze Star.

Following his Air Force service Bruce had a second career as an airport construction engineer and engineering consultant. He retired in Orlando, FL where he became dedicated to his church activities including serving as elder, building and maintenance committee chair, and church choir where he enjoyed his lifelong passion for music and singing. He also pursued his love of golf and was an avid player.

Bruce is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Shelvey (Pease) Johnson; daughters Jennifer Green (Greg), Sandra Johnson, and son David Johnson (Debbie). He is also survived by his four grandsons and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, Orlando, FL, on Tuesday March 31st at 10:00AM.
