She is survived by her husband Jaime Echeverri, her daughters Lisbeth Sastre, Brenda Collazo, and Indra Echeverri and her sons Omar Echeverri, Ricardo Echeverri. She was preceded in death by her son, Anthony Collazo. Our mother was a happy spirited woman who enjoyed traveling, listening to different types of music, going to karaoke to hear everyone sing, and to spend time with her friends. Most of all, "Mama" enjoyed spending time with us, her family. She always had words of love for each one of us. She was known for doing volunteer work at the hospital with AIDS patients and helping those in need. She also enjoyed helping and collecting clothing for families in need in Colombia. Our mother always had a passion for a healthy lifestyle and always encouraged those around her to do the same.
Our Mother Carmen León Texeira was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. Her beautiful smile and her good sense of humor always lit up our days. Her love for everyone around her was so great that everyone who knew her called her "Mama" like us, her daughters and sons.
Mama:
"Thank you for taking good care of us, protecting us, guiding us on the path of righteousness, and most importantly, for your endless and unconditional Love.
You taught us what pure and true love is, to be compassionate, and to fight for life to the last moment...
You will always live in our hearts and we will love you forever. We are not saying goodbye but.. We will see you again...
Bendicion!(Always give us your Blessing!)
