Charles Henry Ferrell Jr.

He was born on June 10, 1944 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Charles Henry and Rozella Estelle (Johnson) Ferrell.

He found his Beloved wife, Barbara Ann (Roberson), through the nearby romance between his cousin and her sister…they just knew they’d be

perfect for each other. They were married August 3, 1968.

Charles was a Boy Scout growing up; and, later served his country faithfully in the United States Army where he was a mechanic. He then made his career as a mechanic with the State of Florida Forestry Department for 19 years; which lent itself to his deep love of NASCAR, and especially #3 Dale Earnhardt, Sr. He owned a motorcycle and enjoyed riding with his work buddies. Otherwise, you’d find Charles joking around with his family, taking vacations together, or at least out fishing, a love passed on to him by his own father. Later on, he’d include his grandkids, whom he adored.

He was preceded in death by his dear Parents; and, sisters, Joyce Marie Ferrell Dixon & Joanne Ferrell.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Ann Roberson Ferrell; his children, William Anthony Ferrell (Rita), Paul Wesley Ferrell (Cindy), Penny Ferrell Craig ( Tom) and Charles Jeffery Ferrell (Angela); grandchildren, Paul Wesley Ferrell, Jr., William Michael Ferrell, Andrew David Ferrell, Maggie Marie Ferrell, Luca Lee Ferrell, Chau Quy Diem Tran (Quan) and Maka Wellons (Rick); and, great grandchildren, Gabriel Rezi Wellons and Rosie Chau Tran.

A Celebration of Charles’ Life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Family Funeral Care, 13001 S. John Young Parkway, Orlando, 32837. Refreshments will be served afterward.
