Dale proudly served his country for 27 years in the United States Navy, rising to the rank of Master Chief. A man of quiet strength and unwavering discipline, he led by example and believed in doing things the right way — whether it was in uniform or at home. He was known for his steady presence, sharp wit, and the kind of integrity that didn't need to be announced. Those who served with him respected his leadership, and those who loved him knew there was more behind his tough exterior than he ever let on.
After retiring from the Navy, Dale continued his life of service, working for 15 years with the United States Postal Service. He brought the same sense of duty and reliability to that role, rarely missing a day and earning the respect of his coworkers for his work ethic and no-nonsense attitude.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Margaret, who stood by his side through every deployment, move, and chapter of life. He was a proud and loving father to his two daughters, Dawn Kindred and Siobhan Wright (Tony), and an even prouder grandfather to Tony II, Haley, Makenzie, and Ryleigh, who brought out a softer side in him that few got to see — the kind that showed up in his quiet pride and subtle smiles.
He is also survived by his sister, Mary Swearingen, and was preceded in death by his mother, Odessa Roadarmel; his sisters, Phyllis Swearingen and Gwendolyn Long; and his brothers, Larry Kindred and Gary Kindred.
Dale was a man of few words but deep convictions. He didn’t often say “I love you” out loud — he showed it, in the way he took care of his family, the way he stood by those he loved without question and his generosity. He will be remembered not only for his military service, but for the quiet strength he brought into every room, and the legacy of resilience and honor he leaves behind.
He will be laid to rest with full military honors at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery — a fitting tribute for a life well lived with duty and honor.
