Dorothy Meeker-Dugas, 46, of Orlando passed away peacefully on March 17, 2013 after a courageous seven year battle with ALS. She was a devoted wife and mother. Before deciding to stay at home with her children, Dorothy was employed at Walt Disney World. She loved to sing and toured around the world with Up with People. Dorothy is survived by her husband Jeffry; children Abigail and Benjamin; parents David Meeker, Sr. and Jean Mahnken; brother David Meeker, Jr.; sister Katy McCrudden; and mother-in-law Phyllis Chapman. She was preceded in death by her daughter Caroline. Visitation is Tuesday March 19th from 6-8PM at Family Funeral Care of Hunter’s Creek. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park on Wednesday March 20th at 9AM followed by a funeral mass at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 10:30AM.
