Elizabeth Ann Meadows Brown

She was born on February 7, 1926 in Weston, Georgia, to the late Alvin C. and Corrie J. Meadows (Orlando).

Elizabeth moved from Weston, Ga. very early and was raised in a small home her father Alvin, a carpenter, built on 40th Street in Orlando, Florida. She graduated from Orlando High School in June of 1944. Soon thereafter, she became employed by Pharmaceutical company, McKesson & Robbins in Orlando, where she met her future husband and father of her only child. Married for thirteen years, she divorced in 1960 and continued to live a simple but fulfilling life and raised her family - guided by her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. In the early ’70’s she began a clerical career; and, in 1991 finally retired from Orlando Regional Medical Center where she held various positions in the hospital’s Business Office.

In her retirement years, family genealogy became a real passion for Elizabeth. She was able to amass an extensive amount of research tracing her family history back to the seventeenth century. In later years, due to failing health she resided in a skilled nursing facility in Lake Mary, Florida where many, many Guardian Angels lovingly saw to her daily care.

Elizabeth was the ‘baby’ in her immediate family and was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Corrie; brothers, Truman Alonza, Alvin Emmitt, Clyde Judson, Thomas Waddell, Newell Leon and sister, Corrie Agnes; and, husband of thirteen years, Cecil H. Brown.

Elizabeth is survived by her Son, Howard L. Brown (Sandra Ann); Grandchildren, Johnathan H. Brown (Summer Marie) and Amanda Luanne Harrell (William Luther); Great Grandchildren, Logan Luther, Gavin Tucker and Charlotte Rose.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Family Funeral Care in Orlando, Florida.
