I met Frannie in 1974 when I started at OVH as a new RN.   She taught me so much as I learned to be a nurse. She took such great care of her patients.  We worked hard but had great times.  I enjoyed working with her.  I used to drive her home after work and she always was talking about her family.   How lucky you all were to have her in your lives for such a long time! You were truly blessed to have such a great matriarch! My condolences on your loss. May Frannie RIP. 💜💜

I always loved visiting Aunt Fran at her home in Athens. I remember one time when Mom, Marge and I visited and we spent the evening playing Yahtzee. It was a wonderful time and something I will always remember. 

This is Joe. I will add a more detailed memory later. I cherished every second with her since you moved here in June.  

I still recall one morning when I did not want to go to school. To fake a fever, I planted my forehead up against the radiator so my head would be very warm. I went to Mom and told her I was sick and she could feel my forehead to see how warm I was and she responded “Joe, yes you are warm and you also have those funny lines on your forehead, now get dressed for school”! LOL

I truly believe everything happens for a reason and that’s why we were so very blessed to have you in Orlando with us these past several months. Growing up, I did not have the privilege of living close to you or any of my other extended family. But our visits were always special and memorable. Watching your great grandkids spend time with you brought me so much joy and will be a happy memory I hold on to forever. 
You are one of a kind Grandma Fran; kind, humble but full of humor and wit! 
I will be forever grateful that you gave me my Daddy - who is by far the most giving, selfless and kindhearted man - an amazing father and even more amazing Papa! I’m happy I got to tell you that before you left us. 
I wish you could have stayed a while longer, but that would be selfish of me. I know the Lord called you home because heaven needed a beautiful angel like you. 
I bet you and Papa Sonny are dancing together again in heaven now - and that you’re talking smack and beating him in a game of Euker!! 
This isn’t goodbye as I know one day we will get to see you again! Love you, Grandma Frances Nelson!

I remember her as a kind and loving aunt just like my mother and Grandma were. I remember one summer when I was about 12 or 13,I was spending a few weeks at grandma and grandpa's house and Arthur and I where smoking corn silk in the barn. Well Aunt Fran caught us and gave us a dressing down but she never told on us. I will miss her. she was my last living Aunt.

We lived on fifth Street across from each other.
She was my godmother when I got baptized at holy name Cathedral.
She was always such a lovely lady.


Fran was one of the best. She was more like my gran than my client. I wish I could have seen her more. I’m really gonna miss her. Fly high sweet angel. I love you.

Aunt Fran will always have a special place in my heart. Such a kind and gentle person with a great sense of humor, like her mother.  We will all have our memories of her and her kindness.  We have to let go but we will never forget.  I will never forget when I drove Aunt Rosie and Aunt Fran to Chicago for Joe and Mary Ann's wedding.  We had so much fun.  Shnookie.
May the Souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.  Amen.
