Havard was born on September 9, 1946, in Alford, FL, the eldest son of the late Mr. Oklahoma Wiggins and Montez Wachob Wiggins Mikolajek. He was raised in Marianna, FL, on his grandparents’ farm, where he learned the value of hard work and family. At age 17, he moved to Orlando and attended the Manpower Development Training School, earning a degree in motor repair.
While raising his family in Pine Castle, Havard built a long and respected career as a delivery driver for several companies, including Coca-Cola, Correct Craft, Ryder, Hormel, Knickerbocker, Royalty Foods, and David Warren & Son Inc. Throughout his many years on the road, he earned numerous awards recognizing his skill, dedication, and professionalism.
Havard was an active member of several organizations, including Sons of the American Legion #286, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary #4287, Moose Fraternity #2345, and the Elks Fraternity. He found great joy in the friendships and volunteer work he shared within these communities.
A true outdoorsman at heart, Havard enjoyed fishing, hunting, and taking “road trips to nowhere.” He loved admiring his collections of knives and model cars and cherished every moment spent with his family and friends. And for those who knew Havard well, you also knew exactly where “Cathead” was—wink-wink.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lavonne T. “Pete” Wiggins and Lamar “Buck” Wiggins; and his grandson, Kyle Riecken.
Havard is survived by his brother, Marvin Mikolajek; his loving children, John Collins (Regina), Tammy Riecken, and Teri Schneider (Steve); six grandchildren—Daniel, Steven, Mariah, Kathryn, Emily, and Tanner—and five great-grandchildren. His legacy of love, humor, and resilience will live on through them.
