

Joan Lynn Krumpholc, age 80, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 11, 2023 at her home in Orlando, FL, with her loving husband and sons by her side. She was born on November 22, 1942 in Chicago, IL to John and Josephine Witcher. She had one brother Joseph, who preceded her in death. Joan (Witcher) Krumpholc married her high school sweetheart, Otto Krumpholc on September 5, 1964 in Chicago, IL.She attended Farragut High School in Chicago, where she played clarinet in the band. After her marriage to Otto, they moved to West Point, NY, where Otto was stationed for his entire military career. While at West Point, Joan really enjoyed attending all of the USMA Band concerts that her husband performed in. She called Cornwall on Hudson, NY home for 28 years, until their first retirement. Joan and Otto then decided to move to Orlando, FL, where they started the second part of their lives. Both at West Point and Orlando, Joan worked for the US Government. Most recently at DFAS Orlando, where she ultimately finished her career. Joan enjoyed volunteering her time at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, in the office, where she also attended services weekly. It brought her great joy to sing in the choir, which was one of her many loves. In addition, Joan volunteered her time with The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, in which she was so passionate about. She attended performances regularly with her husband. Anyone who was in Joan's life, knew how important her family, friends and relationships were to her. She loved to cook and was an incredible baker. She made cookie trays for many occasions and special people. Joan also had a love for anything Disney.
Joan is survived by her loving husband, Otto Krumpholc, after recently celebrating 59 years of marriage. She is also survived by two sons, Scott and his wife Nicole, Brett and his wife Kelly, along with two grandsons, Dylan and Jaysen, which she was very proud of. Joan also had two grand dogs, which she always included, Remy and Riley. Joan has many surviving family members and close personal friends, as well, that she thought of as family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1515 S. Semoran Blvd., Orlando, FL on October 14, 2023 at 2:30 PM, with a Reception to follow.
