

Joanne Edith (Luca) Brzostowski went into the Arms of our Lord after a 16 year battle with Parkinson, at the Life Care Center of Orlando. She was born in Philadelphia, PA to Anthony and Mary F. (Flamini) Luca. Raised in South Jersey, Joanne graduated from St. Joseph’s High School. She had a career as a bookkeeper at Abbott Labs in Philadelphia. Then she began an adventurous career as a waitress in well-known restaurants in Atlantic City meeting many show business celebrities. She continued her career through life moving to Orlando, FL selling real estate. As they say, “she married the boss,” the late Alfred L. “Kelly” Brzostowski originally from Haverhill, MA. During the course of her marriage to Kelly, Joanne took cooking lessons from a well-known Chinese Chef. Being anxious to pursue other paths of fulfillment in her life, Jo took up painting. She was a budding artist. She also traveled all parts of Europe; went on several cruises with friends enjoying life to the fullest. Midway through her life she went back to college to earn her Bachelor Degree in Nursing from Florida Southern College. Joanne leaves her sisters, Genevieve E. (Luca) Solda and her husband, Robert of Peabody MA, Mary A. (Luca) Benedetto and her husband, Rocco of Springfield, VA and her brother, Anthony F. Luca of Cape Canaveral, FL; her sister-in-law, Lucritia”Duke” (Brzotowski) Davis. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.
