Born March 18, 1937 in a small mining town in Carrsville Kentucky. Her father Leonard was a miner and her mother Lemma a homemaker; she was the ”proverbial" coal miner’s daughter. Although she had been a prominent figure in the Orlando landscape for years, she always remained true to her modest upbringing. An accomplished sewer, and an amazing cook and baker, all things she had learned while growing up with her three brothers on the banks of the mighty Ohio River. She was a gentle, kind, and giving mother, grandmother and friend. A loss of one part is a loss to all parts, and she will be greatly missed. Linda is survived by her 5 children, 10 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Friends are invited to attend her funeral service, Monday at 3:00pm at the First United Church of Christ, 4605 Curry Ford Road, Orlando, 32812, with Rev. Joel Reif officiating. Arrangements by Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, Orlando. On-line condolences may be offered at www.careyhandcolonialfh.com.
