

Mentana Campano, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025 at the age of 94. Mentana was born in Bridgeport, CT on July 28, 1930. She is survived by her husband, Pasco Campano, age 98, of Orlando, FL; her children, Deborah Campano German of Orlando and Lynn Campano Kochanek of Arden, NC; her grandchildren, Laura German Buhain and Dylan John Buhain of Orlando and Julia Lynn German and Colin Baumchen of Nederland, CO; and her great grandchildren, Patrick Buhain of Orlando and Lindsay Lauretti of Rochester, NY.
Mentana was a loving and strong member of her family and her communities. She resided in Cumberland, RI, Quechee, VT and Naples, FL before finally residing in Lake Nona, FL. She was a talented and remarkable hairstylist, artist, gardener, chef, seamstress and Girl Scout leader. She graciously gave of herself to all.
Mentana and Pasco celebrated their 75th anniversary of love and partnership on November 24, 2024. She was always the light in the room and the life of the party.
Plans for a celebration of her life will be made in the future. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor her memory can be made at a later date to the “Mentana and Pasco Campano Scholarship Fund” at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine
