Vestel Patricia Loy Shafer was born January 21, 1922 in Hazelhurst, Georgia to John T. Ussery and Mary Ellen Bass. She moved to Florida in the early 1930’s and settled in Orlando in 1942. As a homemaker she survived two husbands, Harry E. Loy and Russell J. Shafer. She was a charter member of Barton Shores Baptist Church and later moved her membership to Dover Shores Baptist Church. Survived by Daughter Barbara L Powell-Osborne of Orlando and Son Rev. Robert Loy of Jacksonville Five (5) Grand Children, Rev. Rob Loy, Teresa Hudson, Rev. Stephen Loy, Phebe Powell, Rhonda Shafer. Ten (10) Great Grand Children, Garrett & Grace Ann Hudson, Leigh, Sean & Cherrie Cook, Hanna Loy, Robert & Rachel Loy, Adam & Olivia Cooper. Two (2) Great Great Grand Children, Caitlyn Cook and Bilal Nounli.
