Suzanne Elise Herr

Suzanne Elise Chanin Herr, age 59, passed away on March 28, 2024 after a 3 ½ year battle with Breast Cancer. She privately fought the fight, not wanting others to be concerned or worried. She continued to work at her much loved job as a hotel General Manager, with employers who she considered friends and employees whom she nurtured like family. Suzanne was a friend to all, kind, compassionate, and would go out of her way to everyone feel special. She’d pick up a treat she knew they liked, cook them a meal that would make them happy, sit and talk openly about life’s trials and tribulations, and she’d never let you down when you were looking to share excitement and needed an over the top response! She loved her family and friends fiercely and unapologetically! She adored her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and they all adored her back.

Suzanne is survived by her parents, Steve and Karin Chanin, her 2 sons, Matthew “My Matthew” Herr and his wife Amanda, their children Cayden, Ashton, Brielle, Mattaly, and Tallulah as well as her younger son Joshua Herr, his wife Meredith, their children Jayse, Andersyn, Kameryn, Oaklynn, and she was preceded in death by their youngest son, Ethan. Suzanne is also survived by her sister Marcy and her husband Rich Mahon, and Marcy’s children, Sam “Sammy-Man” Medinger and Paige “Paigey-Princess” Medinger, Suzanne’s brother Jeff Chanin, his wife Darlene, and their children Jordan and Chase “Chasey-Roo” Chanin, Matthew and Joshua’s father Gary Herr and his wife Maria, and of course, Suzanne’s beloved precious Toy Golden Doodle, Mykyla Rose, who was her absolute pride and joy.

She also leaves behind an endless list of well loved friends whom she considered family.
