Viviane peacefully entered eternal rest on February 5, 2026. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, faithful servant of God, and a woman whose strength and presence left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Viviane is predeceased by her loving parents Jean Joseph and Marie Pamphile and by her sister Elsie Pamphile. She is survived by her beloved husband (Jean Claude Fontaine) of over forty years; her three children (Marra, Fabrice, Farrah Fontaine). Her two cherished grandchildren (Imani Fontaine, Fatima Fontaine-Alcy and her surviving brother (Lionel Pamphile) with whom she shared the lifelong bond of sisterhood. She also leaves behind loving nieces (Melissa, Bianca Jones) and extended family who will forever treasure her memory.
For more than four decades, Viviane was a loyal and dedicated wife who truly loved her husband. Their marriage was built on commitment, strength, and unwavering devotion. She was a protective and steadfast mother whose family was the center of her life. Her grandchildren brought her immense joy, and she embraced every opportunity to gather her loved ones together, creating a home filled with warmth, structure, and love.
Viviane served as a Certified Nursing Assistant for over 30 years, faithfully caring for others with compassion, patience, and dignity. Her profession reflected her character—selfless, giving, and attentive to those in need. She would often give her last to help someone else. Though small in stature, she carried a commanding presence. She was strong in personality and firm in her convictions—she liked what she liked and stood resolute in her standards. Those who knew her understood that her sternness was rooted in love, protection, and deep care. Her humor and straightforward nature left a memorable impression on everyone she encountered.
She found joy in her Catholic faith, attending church often, praying faithfully, shopping, gardening and being a plant parent, going to the hair salon and cooking for her family. Her kitchen was a place of comfort and connection. The meals she prepared left an everlasting impression on the mouths and in the minds of those who gathered at her table. Cooking was one of the many ways she expressed her love. In times of uncertainty, she would often say, “God will take care of it,” and “God is in control,” reflecting the unwavering trust that guided her life.
The peace she now rests in is beautifully captured in Psalm 23: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want… Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.” Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she now dwells in the eternal presence of the Lord she faithfully served. Her legacy of strength, devotion, generosity, and enduring love will live on in all who knew her.
