

Aaron H. Johnson passed away on September 4, 2010 of kidney failure and complications. He was born in New York City on December 4, 1923. After growing up in Mt. Kisco N.Y. he attended Cooper Union, Haverford College (during WWII while servng in the Army Air Corps), graduated from Harvard University, and earned a Masters degree from Franklin and Marshall College.
Trained as a physicist, he worked as an engineer, but his main passion was music. He played the clarinet in numerous groups over his lifetime including chamber music, community orchestras, and the Brewster Town Band.
An avid vegetable gardener and passionate student of Chinese cooking, he also was a life-long bowler and lap swimmer.
He lived in Lancaster PA for over 40 years before retiring to the Cape 12 years ago.
He is survived by Janis Johnson, his wife of 50 years, and three children: Connie, Philip, and Jennifer. He took great pleasure in his six grandchildren to whom he passed on his great sense of humor.
