

Alice was born to John A. and Helen (Simpson) Daniels on Easter Sunday, March 31, 1918 in Somerville MA. She graduated from Somerville High School in 1936 and went to work for John Hancock Insurance Co.
Alice met the love of her life, Norman Woodside and they were married February 6, 1942. They were happily married for 53 years until his death in 1995.
After raising her family Alice went to work for Publishers Supply in Salem, NH where she became vice president, assistant treasurer, and the director until her retirement to Eastham in 1984.
Alice was a member and past Grand Chief of the Massachusetts Pythian Sisters for 74 years.
Alice is survived by her son Norman A. Woodside, of Eastham and daughter Eunice Amerault and husband Arthur of No. Eastham; grandchildren: David and Lisa Amerault, of Eastham, Scott Amerault of Wellfleet, Michael Amerault of East Orleans; great grandchildren: Andrew, Corey, Benjamin, Chelsea and Ryan Amerault all of whom she loved dearly. She also leaves her nieces Sandra Gaspar, of Ipswich, Susan Curry, of Groveland, Nancy Ambrose, of No. Eastham and Doris Condon, of Shrewsbury, and their respective spouses. Her nephew Claine Campbell and wife Ellen of Prince Edward Island, Canada.
Alice was predeceased by her loving sister and brother-in-law, Thelma and Alvro Perry of No. Eastham.
The family would like to thank the wonderful people at Liberty Commons and Hope Hospice for loving care they gave to Alice.
Visitation will be held at Nickerson Funeral Home 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans MA 02653 on Thursday March 14 from Noon -2:00PM; with a funeral following at 2:00PM. The burial is private.
In lieu of flowers donations in Alice’s memory may be made to the Boston Marathon, Jimmy Fund walk with mention to Walker #8015990 and send to Alice’s niece Susan Curry at 74 Uptack Rd., Groveland, MA 01834. Susan is walking for the 25th year.
