Amy Margaret MacDonald

Amy Margaret MacDonald, age 58, of Orleans, Massachusetts passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022. Amy was born February 28, 1964 in Mt. Kisco, NY to proud parents Patricia (Segur) MacDonald and Thomas MacDonald. In addition to Amy, Pat and Thomas raised three loving children: Cary, Scott, and Barbara. Amy grew up in the neighboring city of White Plains, NY. While in her teenage years, Amy and her family moved from the bustling city to the quiet calm of Cape Cod where she would call home for 42 years. After graduating from Nauset High, Amy took up the admiral pursuit of being a cook at the Latham Center in Brewster. She provided meals to many of the children and adults with complex abilities. Amy was even given the opportunity to supervise numerous children with special needs. Amy was a large part of the Latham community for 20 years. She lived a simple life, spending time with friends, enjoying the natural world around her, and snuggling with her cat, Stripes. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to Amy's mother, Patricia Law, she is survived by her brother, Scott MacDonald, and sister, Cary MacDonald she is also survived by her brother-in-law David Rabinaw, nieces and nephews: Daniel and Katelyn Rabinaw and Lesha Hardgrave. Amy is preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Lillian Segur, her father, Thomas MacDonald, and her sister, Barbara Rabinaw.

A celebration of life for Amy will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans, Massachusetts 02653. Burial will be held privately. Donations in Amy's memory may be made to ASPCA, www.aspca.org.
