Bruce A Simonds

Bruce A. Simonds 49, of Brewster, and Canoga Park, CA passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. He was the husband of Ellen (Kay) Simonds and the son of Robert and Beverly (Sanders)Watson of Brewster, MA.

Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by his son Jeremy, and daughter Kimberly both of Los Angeles, CA, his brothers Ivan of Windsor, VT, Brian of Brewster, his sisters Beverly Davison of Manchester, NH and Rhonda Cardarelli of Brownsville, VT, and step-brothers, William and Jonathan Watson of Harwich. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He graduated from Nauset High School, and then joined the Marine Corps, retiring after 20 years as Gunnery Sargeant.

His visitation will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. in the Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans, MA. His funeral service will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home followed by his burial with Military Honors in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. at 1:15 p.m. We would like to thank Hospice and Palliative Care and a special thanks to his nurse Deb Hopkins, his Aunt Tootie, and cousins Dottie and Mal for the loving care that they gave him.
