Carol A. Richmond

Carol A Richmond, formally of Eastham, Canton and Palm City, Florida, passed away peacefully on the 9th of February 2025 in Orleans, MA after an extended illness. She was born in NY,NY and grew up on Long Island in New Hyde Park.

She was the only daughter of the late Charles and Elsa (Lonnholm) Nelson who were both born in Sweden. Carol is survived by her husband of more than 53 years, Arthur P Richmond, two sons; Douglas and his wife Nicole of Norton and Jared and his wife, Brandi of Duxbury and four grandchildren Ava, Alexandra, Charlotte and Charlie.

It was a life well lived. She spent over 30 years teaching science at the Chenery Middle School. She loved to travel having visited over 60 countries on 6 continents; weddings in Sweden, Switzerland, an audience with the Pope and many more highlights.

She also loved Cape Cod and the beach in Eastham. Carol was loved by many and will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held at The United Church of Christ, on Wednesday June 18th. Visiting hours at the church will be held at 10am, followed by a service at 11am and a reception at the church to follow.
