Chris Cummings

Christopher Francis Cummings, loving father, grandfather, brother and son of Elizabeth and Thomas Cummings, passed away on July 9, 2023. Chris was born in his beloved town of Riverside, Rhode Island. It was love at first sight when he discovered the ocean and docks of the Cove, and his love of boats and the sea was only surpassed by his love of family and friends. He proudly served his country in France as a member of the Army Corps of Engineers. He sparkled when telling stories about the sights in France, and he would say that “everything looked like a castle.” Chris eventually migrated to the Cape, where he became the consummate fisherman and Provincetown‘s dock master. He was a proud Cape Codder who loved life on boats and the ocean, but most importantly he loved his family and friends who always felt better after spending time with him. He will be immensely missed by everyone whose lives he touched. Say a little prayer for Chris. We love you dad. There will be a graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery in Eastham on Monday, July 17 at 1:30pm. Reception to follow.
