David W. Johnson

Dave worked at his family business, POBCO Inc., for many decades after serving in the U.S. Navy. He graduated from South High School and Worcester Junior College. Dave’s passions included numerous outdoor activities, including exploring Cape Cod on his boat “Rootin’ Tootin’”, catching stripers and trout, hunting, and birding with his wife Jeanne. He was a consummate gardener and enjoyed many years playing tennis, basketball, and jogging. Dave was a member of several conservation organizations, including the Audubon Society. He was passionate about preserving our natural resources, being influenced by the legacy of the Cape Cod National Seashore.

Dave leaves his wife Jeanne (Hudson) Johnson, four brothers Carl R. Johnson and his wife Marianne of Princeton, MA; Stephen P. Johnson and his wife Jennifer of Harwich, MA; Gerald R. Johnson of East Albany, VT; and Thomas G. Johnson and his wife Pam of Sutton, MA. Dave also leaves several nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
