

Born and raised in Gardner, he was the son of the late Harold and Katherine Moore and the husband of the late Mary Louise (Higgins) Moore.
David attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, where he studied engineering and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. His long career in the engineering field included positions with Dennison Manufacturing Company, Fenwal Kidde, and Johnson & Johnson. He was a resident of Amherst, Wellesley and Natick for many years before retiring to Cape Cod and running Water Witch Irrigation in Eastham.
Dave was a genuine, caring person and was always looking for ways to help others. He enjoyed volunteering with numerous groups including the Lions, Elks, and Masons and the Wellfleet Council on Aging. He was also very active with the Church of the Holy Spirit in Orleans, and was a member of Mensa.
He was happiest when surrounded by family and friends.
He leaves three daughters and their families: Elizabeth “Lisa” and Carl Olivo of Franklin and Patrick, Lauren and Tyler; Linda and Scott Hastings of Plainville and Kaitlyn, Ryan and Hunter; and Christa and Mark Branigan of Medway and Delaney and Jack.
Also surviving him are a brother, James Moore of Gardner and his family; two step-children, Amy Corcoran and her husband Dan and their daughter Ella and Neal Higgins and his wife Amy and their daughter Ashley; and his former wife, Carol Suddath of Framingham.
A funeral service in David’s honor will be held on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 204 Monument Road, Orleans, MA. Burial will be private.
