Dean is survived by his mother, Olivene Smith; his wife, Kim Willard; his daughters, Kianna Neveah and Tavanniyah Smith; three brothers, one sister, two nieces and three nephews. He is predeceased by his father, Frank Smith.
Dean was born in Montego Bay, Jamaica on January 16, 1992 to Olivene and Frank Smith. Dean graduated from Herbert Morrison High School and worked as a Police Officer in Jamaica for 5 years before making the move to Cape Cod where he worked with his brother, Julius, as a landscaper, and also dabbled in tree work, roofing, and construction. Dean quickly began to build his own life here. He met Kim and they tied the knot on August 29th, 2020. His daughter, Kianna, who was the pride and joy of his life, came shortly after on April 22nd, 2021. He was striving toward the American dream of growing and owning his own business, as well as being the best family man he could possibly be.
Dean lit up when his daughter, “Kiki” was around. He was an amazing, selfless, strong willed, beautiful soul whose smile was infectious and could be noticed across any room. He would want to be remembered as someone who could make people laugh and as the best dressed no matter what the occasion. His laugh was contagious, and his personality could be described as vibrant; there really just are no words that could do this kind being justice.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am on Friday, June 10th, at the Wellfleet United Methodist Church located at 246 Main St, Wellfleet MA. There will be an opportunity for viewing before the service, from 9:30-10:30am (at the church). Burial to follow at the Evergreen Cemetery, 3575 Rt 6, Eastham (entrance directly across from Arnolds Lobster and Clam Bar).
