Dorothy E. Redding

Dorothy grew up in Amsterdam, NY. She later moved to Rosendale, NY, where she raised her four sons. She was a dedicated homemaker and housewife her whole life. In 1985, Dorothy and her husband Robert moved to Cape Cod. She was predeceased by her husband in 1991.

She was an active parishioner at St. Joan of Arc Church. She was an avid gardener, and greatly enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and sewing.

She is survived by her four sons, Robert, William, Benjamin, and John, 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans, MA 02653 from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday, July 12. The funeral will be held from Nickerson Funeral Home at 9 AM on Wednesday, July 13, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 AM at St. Joan of Arc Church in Orleans. Burial will follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy’s memory to Brewster Fire & Rescue Association, 1657 Main Street, Brewster, MA 02631.
