Edmund V. Gayle, 95, of North Eastham, MA (formerly of Brockton, MA) died peacefully on October 19, 2014. He was a World War II veteran, After his service, he worked over 35 years for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and later retired to North Eastham, MA. Edmund is survived by his wife of 72 years, Arlene, his son Paul and wife Carolyn, his daughter Cheryl Gayle, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, his sister Ireta Waterman, and his close friend Nancy Higgins. Memorial service is being held Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Eastham United Methodist Church with burial to follow at the Bourne National Cemetery.
