With deep love and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Edward Rolek, a devoted father, grandfather, uncle, and beloved educator, who left this world surrounded by the family he cherished above all else.
Edward was the proud and loving father of Denise (Kevin) and Diana (Peter), and the adoring grandfather of Brigid, Eddie (Elly), Nuna, and Jerry. He was also a caring uncle to his niece and nephew, Monica and Joey, who held a special place in his heart.
A man of unwavering commitment, Edward showed up for everything his children did—every event, every milestone, every moment that mattered. If his family was there, he was there. His steady presence and quiet strength were constants in their lives, shaping them in ways they will carry forever.
Gifted with the ability to fix almost anything, Edward brought that same patience and problem-solving spirit into his relationships. He shared his wisdom freely—sometimes when we didn’t think we wanted to hear it, but always with love and the hope of making life smoother for the people he cared about.
Edward loved his work as a school principal. It wasn’t just a job to him; it was a calling. He dedicated himself to creating a safe, supportive environment where students could grow, learn, and feel seen. He believed in his school community the same way he believed in his family—with loyalty, fairness, and heart.
He was everything a dad should be and then some—steady, humble, protective, proud, and full of the kind of love that quietly built the foundation of his family’s lives. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the memories he created, and the countless lives he touched both at home and in his school.
His family will be greeting him in Heaven. He was predeceased by his wife Blanche, his daughter Christine, and his sister and brother in law Virginia and Joseph Romanko.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that Edward’s love will continue to guide us. We will honor him in how we show up for one another—just as he always showed up for us.
Edward will be deeply missed and forever loved
