John R. Etz

He joined the Boy Scouts in June 1934 and eventually became an assistant Scoutmaster.

He graduated from Medford High School in 1938 and Tufts College in July 1947.

Jack served in the Navy in World War II and again in the Korean War, leaving as a Lieutenant.

He was an assistant engineer with Haley & Ward Civil Engineering. In October 1954 he left to work at Factory Mutual Engineering Assoc. and progressed to Allendale Mutual Insurance as a Senior Account Engineer.

In 1983 he retired and moved with his wife Joan to Cape Cod. He was interested in traveling, woodworking, golf, bowling and photography.

Surviving besides his wife Joan of 67 years are his son Bryan of San Carlos CA, his daughter Kris of Harwich MA, a grandson Staff Sergeant Eben Darling of Harwich, granddaughters Melissa & Rebecca in CA, and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was a good man, a wonderful husband, father, grand & great-grand father and he is sorely missed.
