On Tuesday March 5, 2019, Kenneth Grenier, loving husband and father and a great friend to many passed away. Ken was born in Grafton, Mass. to Leo and Blanche (LeDuc) Grenier. He met his wife and best friend Cheryl Cobb Grenier in college and they were married right after graduation. They settled in Newtown, CT where they raised their two daughters Jacqueline and Kimberly. Ken worked in Brookfield, CT as a middle school teacher, and truly loved his job. He was also heavily involved in coaching sports, including basketball, golf and tennis. When he retired he and Cheryl moved to their home in N. Eastham, Mass. A few years later they purchased a small place in Sarasota, FL where they spent their winters. Ken is best known for his quick wit, dry sense of humor, his gift of conversation, love of the Red Sox and passion for the game of golf. But nothing surpassed his love for his wife, his daughters, his grandson and their extended network of family and friends. He was happiest when he was surrounded by friends and family. Ken is survived by many who love him. His wife of 53 years, Cheryl. His daughters Jacqueline and Kimberly. His son-in-law Terry Finn and the apple of his eye and his namesake, his grandson Kenny. Other close family members include his in laws Ralph and Virginia Cobb, with whom he enjoyed extensive travels. His sister in law, Sandra Link, his niece, Heather Zink and his cousin Paula Prout. Ken’s extended network of family and friends are too great to mention but there were so many who made his life complete.
In loving memory of Kenneth L. Grenier - #1 – A beautiful life that came to an end. He died as he lived, everyone’s friend. In our hearts a memory will always be kept, of one that we love and will never forget.
