She was born in Concord, Massachusetts, to Ingolf Hope and Ida Flachsbart Hope. Lorraine had a lifelong love of nature; she spent many hours as a child learning about plants, birds, and being creative. After studying at Lasell College, Lorraine married her first husband, the late Martin Andic, in 1960. She described some of the best times of her life when living in England, when Martin was getting his degree. After he had completed his studies, they camped all around Europe in their Volkswagen Bug with a tent.
She returned to Concord and had her two children, Nicolas and Clarissa. Later she worked at a design-build firm in various roles including landscape design, and made many strong friendships there. In the late eighties, Lorraine met and married her second husband, the late Lawrence Trabulsi. They had a shared sense of humor and a love of travel; they returned to Europe many times. They retired to Cape Cod in 1995.
Lorraine was extremely kind, generous, steadfast, and once she made her mind up, there was no going back. She spent her later years enjoying her many hobbies which included needlepoint, gardening, reading, beading, refinishing furniture, being with her Mini Schnauzers, Maple and then Ingo, and enjoying time with her friends and family.
She is survived by her sisters Sylvia Rocheford of Brewster, Carolyn Crowell of Wellfleet, Linda Defina of Ashtabula, Ohio, her son Nicolas Andic of Hyannis, her daughter Clarissa Andic of Los Angeles, California, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held for Lorraine on August 28, 2021.The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, a donation in Lorraine's name may be made to the charity of your choosing.
